Common Questions

How fast can the system produce an intercept recommendation?

dominAI’s simulation engine runs in faster-than-real-time in parallel across cloud or edge compute. Candidate intercept plans can be generated and ranked within seconds of sensor data ingestion – the system is designed to pace itself to the operational tempo.

How does the system handle saturation attacks designed to overwhelm AI too?

The system scales horizontally – adding compute capacity increases the number of candidate plans evaluated, not the processing time. Unlike a human operator whose cognitive load collapses under saturation, dominAI’s performance degrades gracefully: even with 1,000 simultaneous tracks, it produces a prioritised recommendation. Uncertainty in threat classification is explicitly modelled and surfaced to the commander.

Can this integrate with our existing sensors & effects?

dominAI supports standard tactical data links. Interoperability with NATO & allied partner systems has been validated at NATO’s CWIX exercise.

How do you validate the predictions & models?

We use a mix of best-in-class models, including commercial, open source, and Hadean-built models. For missiles, this is the best-in-class commercially available models, which are used for air-to-air combat on existing platforms.

Does this create a single point of failure for our air defence?

dominAI is designed to degrade gracefully. It can operate air-gapped and fully offline, requiring no external connectivity. If the C2 layer is degraded or destroyed, existing fire control systems revert to manual operation – dominAI augments rather than replaces existing capabilities. Redundant deployment architectures (multiple nodes or instances) are supported.
