NATO DIANA Picks Hadean to Help Deliver Decision Superiority

Hadean is one of ten companies to be selected by NATO’s Defense Innovation Accelerator for the North Atlantic (DIANA) for its Decision Superiority for NATO Warfighters Challenge. The selections were made in cooperation with Allied Command Operations.

Building on NATO’s Maven Smart System, Hadean is contributing towards putting AI and Machine Learning capabilities at the heart of Allied defense. Cutting-edge software will drive forward faster and better planning, training, and decision making.

Hadean will work with operational end users and other NATO stakeholders to integrate and demonstrate our capabilities. Each company selected for the challenge has been awarded EUR 100,000 to carry out this important work, culminating in a demonstration phase in December 2026.

Hadean is ready to prove its software can support NATO operations by combining synthetic environments with AI tools to enhance speed, precision, and adaptability. Taking forward NATO’s digital warfighting environment to the next level is both thrilling and vital.

This news comes off the back of CWIX 2026, NATO’s annual interoperability exercise. Hadean integrated with 19 nations (up from 14 in 2025), 19 standards and protocols (up from 6 in 2025), and 42 integrations (up from 20 in 2025).

We are delighted to be given this opportunity to work with NATO DIANA. Our mission to collaborate with DIANA Innovators and put AI-capability at the heart of the Alliance is taking a big step forward today. Hadean is excited to work with Task Force Maven and Supreme Headquarters Allied Powers Europe to put NATO at the cutting edge of technological change that can hand Decision Superiority to our Warfighters.

Craig Beddis, Co- Founder & CEO of Hadean

We are super excited about this DIANA Challenge. For the first time, we are partnering the operational community and our warfighters directly with DIANA and the tech companies to iterate and innovate together,

The NATO Maven Smart System as an open and extensible platform is built to handle this speed of integration and interoperability. This is how NATO wins the innovation race: we prototype fast, we test with the people who fight, and we scale what works.

Col. Arnel David, Director, Task Force Maven, NATO SHAPE.

Through this challenge, we are accelerating the integration of cutting-edge technologies into NATO’s operational environment, enabling our forces to make faster, more informed decisions in increasingly complex scenarios,

By working closely with Allied Command Operations and leveraging platforms like MSS NATO, DIANA is ensuring that innovation is not only developed, but also rapidly delivered where it is needed most.

Jyoti Hirani-Driver, Acting Managing Director of NATO DIANA.
