Hadean, an AI and spatial computing company, have today announced the appointment of a senior advisor to support their ongoing and expanding work in the US. With a focus on increasing Hadean’s presence within the defence industry in the US, Lt. General (retired) Scott Howell will provide senior level support and strategic advice as part of Hadean’s ambitious expansion plans.

General Howell comes with a wealth of experience and is well placed to support Hadean’s growth plans within defence, and across the US, having retired from the US Air Force in 2021. Most recently he served as the 15th commander of Joint Special Operations Command (JSOC); and also served as the Vice Commander United States Special Operations Command (USSOCOM) in Washington, D.C. During this position he planned, coordinated, and executed USSOCOM initiatives with the Office of the Secretary of Defense, Joint Staff, military services, and other government agencies.

General Howell is currently an advisor at General Catalyst where he focuses on modern defence and intelligence and building resilience across all sectors. He brings a wealth of skills in strategic decision making and crisis leadership to the commercial technology sector and will support Hadean in increasing military situational awareness.

The US expansion builds on recent successes in the UK, including the delivery of a Pathfinder contract and a partnership to support the Royal Navy’s autonomy and lethality accelerator. Read about our latest US deployment at JIFX here.

He brings a deep industry knowledge which will be invaluable as we continue to drive innovation and expand our capabilities, and his insight and leadership will play a key role in shaping our growth strategy in the US.”

CEO Hadean, Craig Beddis

“I’m excited to work with teams that have the technological prowess and vision to really move the needle in the national security space. Combine that with a strong mission/people culture and you have something special. Hadean has all of this in spades. As we look to expand into the US market, it’s a privilege to work with this world class team to grow and solidify Hadean’s position as a leader in AI and spatial computing – and ultimately deliver this capability to those who need it most.”
