As SOF Week unfolds in Tampa, Florida, we continue to deepen our involvement with the special operations community. This marks Hadean’s second consecutive year on site, building on the momentum and relationships established from last year’s event. Our commitment has been further reinforced by the recent appointment of General (Ret.) Scott Howell — former commander of Joint Special Operations Command (JSOC) and Vice Commander of USSOCOM in Washington DC.

Special Operations Forces (SOF) operate in environments marked by complexity, ambiguity, and rapid change. Whether conducting high-stakes hostage rescues or maintaining strategic deterrence in contested domains, SOF missions demand a level of readiness that keeps pace with the evolving battlespace. While mission rehearsals remain fundamental to SOF success, they do not meet the demands of modern multi-domain operations (MDO).

Today’s operators require the ability to rehearse more frequently, under varied and realistic conditions, and at a scale and tempo that matches the mission. The priority now is deploying solutions that deliver fidelity, adaptability and real-time responsiveness – all without being hindered by infrastructure or integration challenges.

In designing solutions that enable SOF to operate effectively in complex and chaotic environments, we prioritise capabilities that support faster, more agile decision-making in dynamic operational contexts.

Bridging Live and Virtual Data/Systems for Decisive Strategic Advantage

Modern rehearsal environments must represent the full spectrum of complexity — from micro-tactical engagements to grand-strategic scenarios. Real-time synthetic environments, integrating live and virtual systems into a shared operational picture, now make this possible. Visualised in 2D or immersive 3D, these environments support persistent, scenario-rich planning and rehearsal across SOCOM’s full range of missions — all from a single, unified foundation.

Predictive Analytics for Anticipatory Intelligence

Accelerated planning depends on the rapid fusion of disparate data sources. Predictive analytics enables planners to run multiple ‘what-if’ scenarios in real time, enhancing situational awareness and surfacing insights before action is required. This anticipatory intelligence directly informs decision-making and reduces cognitive burden during operations.

Realtime Global Distribution for Live C5ISR

Leading platforms now treat live and synthetic data equally, allowing for smooth transitions between training and real-world operations. This facilitates real-time C5ISR across global distributed environments, providing commanders a unified operational picture and the agility to adapt to changing situations.

AI Interfaces and Integration for Speed and Automation

Effective readiness solutions must capture both the physical and cognitive dimensions of conflict. Generative AI now enables more responsive and realistic civilian and behavioural modelling, helping simulate population movement, sentiment, and adversary narratives. Applied across J2, targeting, and information operations, AI-driven interfaces create a quicker, automated and adaptive backdrop for planning, training, and execution.

Interoperability for Integrated Situational Awareness

Transformation cannot come at the expense of existing capability. Systems must be agnostic to infrastructure, hardware, and protocol — interoperable with today’s architecture while supporting concurrent experimentation with novel technologies. This interoperability ensures integrated situational awareness and effects delivery across domains, enabling commanders to modernise incrementally without losing pace or cohesion nor disrupting ongoing operations or compromising readiness.

As the demands on special operations continue to grow, so must the systems that support their success. Hadean stands with the SOF community as a trusted partner — delivering scalable, real-time synthetic environments that enable operators to train more frequently, plan with greater precision, and rehearse in step with mission tempo. By closing the gap between planning and execution, our solutions ensure forces are ready to act decisively in today’s complex and contested battlespace.
