IT²EC 2022 was a strong showing for the international defence sector, as a healthy variety of representatives from industry stalwarts, startups, governmental organisations and the armed forces of various countries gathered at the ExCel centre in London to facilitate discussions and create partnerships around the latest in military training technology. It was an honour to be an exhibitor at the conference, and a milestone for Hadean as we strive to establish ourselves as part of the technological backbone for the military forces of the future. It was also a great chance to catch up with our existing customers and partners, and to host a networking event along with our friends at Cervus!
A key theme we found in conversations throughout was challenges facing collective training. This was highlighted in the DisTec talk given by our director of product marketing for the defence sector, Nick Brown, along with Alan Roan from Cervus and Tim Colebrooke from BAE Systems. They called out the technological hurdles in this context, particularly in data analytics and computation. It stressed the vital role of collaboration catalysed by events like IT²EC, where the emerging technologies offered by newer, tech-based companies will need to be leveraged by the industry giants in order to solve more complex, modern problems.
Indeed, we are proud to be a part of this evolution in the defence sector. IT²EC was the first chance for Cervus to present their cutting-edge approach to delivering improved decision-making capabilities through The Forge, a Digital Decision Support Engine backed by a Defence and Security Accelerator (DASA) grant and developed using the Hadean platform.
We are also very pleased to have signed a Memorandum of Understanding with BAE Systems, who are exploring opportunities to apply their expertise in military training to Hadean’s technology to power a single synthetic environment, enabling air, land, sea, space and cyber forces to plug in and train together.
Many thanks to all who visited our booth throughout the conference. We look forward to continuing many of the conversations that were started there, and to keep bringing a spirit of collaborative innovation to the defence sector for years to come.
