This week, Craig Beddis, Co-Founder and CEO of Hadean, and Mimi Keshani, Co-Founder and CSO of Hadean joined other global leaders, innovators, and investors at the Foreign Investors Annual Summit 2025 in Vilnius, Lithuania, an event focused on shaping the future of technology, security, and collaboration in an increasingly complex world. Mimi Keshani took the stage alongside our partners Nortal and Palantir and representatives from Formula 1, for a panel discussion on “Investing in Defence & Technology”, exploring how partnerships, innovation, and high-performance cultures are transforming the way we think about defence.

A Shared Mission

Technology is now a fundamental element of strategic advantage. From decision-making to mission execution, data-driven platforms and synthetic environments are reshaping how nations prepare for, train for, and respond to emerging threats. As Mimi shared on stage, our journey as Hadean reflects a deep commitment to delivering next-generation capabilities to allied nations and their partners, a commitment exemplified by our landmark £20 million agreement with the UK Ministry of Defence.

This conversation could not be more timely. Defence and security are undergoing a profound transformation, driven by rapid technological change and the evolving realities of global geopolitics. The ongoing war in Ukraine, a conflict that has reshaped Europe’s security landscape, underscores the urgent need for agility, innovation, and collaboration and has reminded us that state-on-state threats are not relics of the past. Nations across NATO and beyond are reassessing how they deter aggression, protect sovereignty, and respond to crises in real time.

Investing in a Region That Understands Resilience

Echoing a central theme of the summit, Mimi’s talk delivered a particularly strong message about why, at Hadean, we’re deepening our presence in the Baltic region to build resilience and support NATO with next-generation defence capabilities. Lithuania, and the wider Baltic region, represents much more than a geographic location. It sits at a critical intersection of geopolitical pressure and strategic importance, making it a focal point for the future of collective defence.

The country shares borders with Russia’s militarised Kaliningrad exclave and Belarus, placing it on the front line of NATO’s eastern flank. The nearby Suwalki Gap, a narrow land corridor linking the Baltics to the rest of Europe, is widely seen as one of the alliance’s most vulnerable choke points, highlighting how vital this region is to European security.

In this context, the stakes for resilience and deterrence are tangible and immediate. Lithuania has responded with a comprehensive, whole-of-society approach to national security and defence, a culture where resilience is woven into the fabric of everyday life. From investing heavily in defence and cyber resilience to fostering a vibrant technology sector that is deeply committed to strengthening NATO’s capabilities, this mindset makes Lithuania not just a partner, but an inspiration for what the future of collective defence can look like.

Powering the Full Mission Lifecycle

Our approach reflects a broader shift, defence technology is no longer about isolated tools, but about connected ecosystems that evolve with the mission and strengthen collective capability.

Hadean’s contribution to this evolving landscape comes from our Command and Control product dominAI and our digital wargaming product populAI, which support the entire mission lifecycle, from planning and training to live operations. These products are designed for interoperability, adaptability, and scale, enabling defence organisations to make better, faster decisions in environments defined by uncertainty and complexity.

Collaboration as a Force Multiplier

The presence of our partners Nortal and Palantir on stage, shows that no single organisation can deliver strategic advantage alone. Just as Formula 1 has shown that high-performance outcomes are built on collaboration, precision, and relentless iteration, so too must the defence and technology sectors embrace a culture of partnership.

Hadean is proud to be part of an ecosystem where governments, industry leaders, and innovators come together with a shared purpose, to build technologies that not only meet today’s challenges but anticipate tomorrow’s, proving that by working together, we can achieve outcomes far greater than the sum of our parts.

As we continue to invest in this region and deepen our partnerships, Hadean remains committed to building technologies that empower allies, strengthen collective security, and help societies navigate the challenges of an increasingly complex world.
