Exhibiting at DSEI 2023 was an extraordinary journey into the heart of defence where cutting-edge technology, industry leaders, and experts converged to shape the future of national security. As the dust settles on what was a busy and action-packed calendar event, we reflect on Hadean’s first-ever attendance and summarise our experience as a Future Tech Hub exhibitor.

Unveiling the Hadean Platform for Defence

The Hadean Platform for Defence, powered by our ground-breaking spatial computing technology, was front and centre of our stand and the main point of interest for our visitors. Integrating multiple training and simulation applications, including VBS4, VR Forces and Unreal Engine, it showcased the Platform’s ability to draw data from different sources and connect them into one single operating picture. Fitted with Hadean’s latest AI integrations which added significant Pattern of Life features to the simulation, our demo showed how novel technologies can interoperate to enhance situational awareness and augment decision-making for training, decision support and wargaming.

Making Our Mark

Located at the Future Tech Hub, our stand was at the epicentre of innovation. As a result, our team was delighted to meet a range of people and businesses from across the defence and national security sector.

DSEI was an opportunity to showcase Hadean’s partnership approach by hosting distinguished members of our defence partners ecosystem at our stand. With us for the duration of the exhibition we had CAE and Plexsys who demonstrated the capabilities of their synthetic environments for training and decision support and highlighted Hadean’s role as a tech enabler. We were also delighted to welcome our friends and partners from BITES who draw the attention of visitors with their AR/XR headsets. Finally, we were hyped to welcome Snowflake Chief Technology Officer, Winston Chang, who participated in a fireside chat alongside our VP of Innovation, Chris Arthurs, marking our new strategic partnership.

We also welcomed numerous military and government VIPs who sought to learn more about Hadean’s technology and how it ties in with the solutions of our partners. Delegations from NATO, UK Ministry of Defence, Singapore, New Zealand, Australia and the Netherlands made a stop at our stand for a demo of the Hadean Platform for Defence.

News and Announcements

Our attendance was also marked by exciting news which kept Hadean at the spotlight throughout the week. To kick-off the show we announced the extension of our collaboration with BAE Systems, off the back of our work as part of Project OdySSEy. It was also revealed that Cervus, ST Engineering Antycip and Hadean were awarded a contract to transform decision support for the British Field Army.

Our participation in the inaugural October Sky event also made the news. Organised by Chaos1 in Australia, our team will pair with AI driven laser company, AIM Defence, to power a synthetic environment for AIM’s Fractl C-UAS. The week drew to a close with the announcement of our partnership with Graphcore which aims to accelerate AI in defence by deploying best-in-class specialised AI hardware and software.

What’s Next?

Attending DSEI was a remarkable experience which gave us the opportunity to leave a lasting impact as a leading spatial computing company in defence. As we build on our success, however,  we aim to continue our mission to bridge physical and virtual worlds across domains, allies and systems, with our eyes set on I/ITSEC 2023 in Orlando, Florida.
