It was great to announce ourselves on the UK Defence stage at IT2EC the other week; although given the nature of some of our existing relationships and wider knowledge of our capabilities it felt like we had been in the gang for years. Conversations continued, or started for the first time; we shared a few beers with our friends at Cervus and our wider network; our partnership with CAE was showcased and new business with BAE Systems announced. All in all a busy, fruitful but above all enjoyable week at the London ExCeL.

Most importantly for us at Hadean we were able to discuss in depth where we believe there are challenges that we can help existing and future partners overcome for the benefit of the warfighter. Our slot on the DisTec stage highlighted where distributed computing technology can add massive value to decision support and synthetic training, and it was great to share the stage with Al Roan from Cervus and Tim Colebrook from BAE Systems to emphasise the point and demonstrate where we are already partnering to deliver cutting edge, innovative solutions.

Moreover we were able to further develop where Hadean platform technology can support the provision of live data for situational awareness and training management, and how, given the convergence of our catalogue of use cases, an ‘Industrial Metaverse’ might one day support military users.

So what next? Forward to DSET in Bristol where we look forward to further opportunities to engage with existing partners, and start new conversations. What was clear at IT2EC was the overwhelming interest in the provision of scalable synthetic training environments, tools to support and the decision maker and, perhaps above all else, the challenges of handling and distributing live data on a vast scale. It is this last issue that we will be very interested to develop further during discussions at DSET.

What remains central to our ethos as a company, given that we provide capabilities that enable rather than singularly deliver the solution, is the partnership approach; be it with other industry partners or the end user community. In this spirit we look forward very much to welcoming those in the industry that share our vision and technical inquisitiveness in the name of collaboration and innovation. Without this type of approach programmes such Defence Synthetic Environments Platform (DSEP) and the Future Collective Training System (FCTS) will find system optimisation and integration perpetually challenging.
