Visit booth 1829 at I/ITSEC 2021 to discover the distributed cloud platform for massive synthetic environments

We’re excited to be exhibiting at I/ITSEC 2021! With events starting to open up again, this will be the first time the whole community has been in one place for nearly two years. It’s also the first time in nearly two years our team will be travelling to the USA from Europe, so we’re very excited to show the world what we’ve been working on!

I/ITSEC, which is shorthand for The Interservice/Industry Training, Simulation and Education Conference, is the world’s largest modeling, simulation and training event, and at the Hadean booth we’ll be showcasing our distributed cloud platform for massive synthetic environments. So, if you’re attending I/ITSEC, be sure to swing by booth 1829 where we’ll be demonstrating our tech and discussing the defence metaverse. Throughout the event, our experts will be on hand to talk you through our platform for multi-domain training, situational awareness and decision support. Moreover, we’ll be presenting at the innovation showcase and taking part in the networking event on Tuesday 29th. So stop by for a beer and a look at the latest in cutting edge technology!

Why defence is undergoing a digital transformation

Today, the defence sector is at an interesting crossroads. Global defence spending is on the rise along with increasing diplomatic tension and a break from traditional approaches towards the adoption of commercial tech. But perhaps most crucially, threats today are unlike what we have ever seen before. Enemies are decentralised and move in the shadows. They strike unseen and utilise new channels such as cyberspace. Facing these new challenges requires significant innovation in defence technology.

In recent years the gaming industry has accelerated the use of high-fidelity interactive simulations, which has far reaching implications across an array of use cases. Adopting and scaling digital technologies is key to cross domain training and operations. Indeed, at the heart of modern defence strategies is a digital backbone that brings together this data and computation at scale. However, the incumbent infrastructure and systems of today cannot process the complexity of modern warfare leading to inadequate training, situational blindspots and unreliable decisions.

The distributed cloud platform for massive synthetic environments

Hadean’s distributed cloud platform underpins a large framework of wargame and training structures, creating a synthetic reality in the highest fidelity required for defence applications. Actors from every military domain are able to combine heterogeneous estates into a single scalable world, with millions of entities, to effectively train personnel.

In 2019, Hadean broke the world record for the most number of players in a single online game with the current record holders CCP Games, with 14k connected clients. Since then, we’ve partnered with Minecraft, Microsoft D&I, and most recently CAE, building some of the largest synthetic environments ever created for military training, including city simulations, situational awareness models and large scale wargames. Building the Defence Metaverse requires a step change, with our platform offering a newfound scale and persistence.
